I never thought I would be off my oxygen but at this rehab place they were able to teach me how to breathe correctly with my ADL and I was able to be weaned off my oxygen. Now I only use it at night to sleep. Thank you Desert Pulmonary for all your help with my COPD. I highly recommend this rehab place. They do everything there.

   I am just writing this email to inform you of all the benefits I feel I am receiving after only two weeks of using the machine (Resmed) with nasal and mouth facemask, the one that blows air into nose through a hole in the top of the mask or the mouth that is covered. I did not think I could have used the other ones but this kind was very easy to get used to. 

       The benefits that I am receiving so far and did not expect are a more normal blood pressure reading, feeling like I received a great nights sleep and awake more refreshed. Plus some added benefits that I don’t see listed anywhere are that I don’t have any desire to get up to go to the bathroom any more, ( I was going three or four times a night before ). Also my aches and pains are minimal compared with before even after I had tough days playing golf or going to the gym. PS- my wife does not have to hear me snore anymore, great for her.

       I was diagnosed 30 years ago with sleep apnea but did not think I could handle the mask but big improvements in technology made sleeping with a mask possible. If they had this 30 years ago I missed out because now I will not sleep without one. Thank you Desert Pulmonary for the sleep study, setting up the machine and getting me healthier.
